Environmental Field Technician - Casual
We are seeking a motivated individual for a casual seasonal position from May to August with the possibility for extension.

The role requires fieldwork and the potential for office work. Fieldwork will largely involve sample and data collection, site assessments, and inspections. Office work may include organizational projects, assisting with research and report writing, and light office duties. The successful candidate must be self-driven and capable of working successfully on their own or part of a small team.

Qualifications:

Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract

Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs for short distances

Comfort with working outside in a variety of conditions on a wide array of sites (commercial properties, active agricultural operations, etc.)
Assets:
-
Prior fieldwork or data collection experience

Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, etc.

Experience with GIS or CAD programs
-
Student or recent graduate of a University or College program in engineering, environmental studies, or agriculture
-
Eligibility for, or existing membership with, a professional designating body such as AIA or APEGA
